Notice the people who helped you make this wedding special. There are so many people in a wedding. Take some time to acknowledge them with a page of gratitude, and send it to them. A photo of the cake with bride and groom, send it to the baker. A photo of the bride in the dress, send it to the shop or the designer. A photo of you with your maid of honor, or the wonderful friend who ran detail patrol for you. So many people, so many opportunities to send the love.

The moment I will never forget. You need to write those down. Believe it or not, many of these thoughts don't stick like they should. Was it the moment you saw your future husband/wife down the isle? The start of the music, or the sweet look of sadness in your mother's eyes, the pride in your father's stance? These are all the memories that you'll visit again and again if you lock them in now.

The wedding would have been better if. What went wrong that shouldn't have? Did it rain, have the storm of the decade, did the best man not show? Pretty much every wedding has something, big or small, that you didn't count on. What was your moment?

The funniest wedding moment. Don't forget to put in the funny moments. Weddings are not only sentimental, they are goofy and stressful and memorable for all different reasons. The fact that my made-to-order wedding dress fell apart as I was putting it on is very funny-later.

The unique and quirky wedding twists. What did you do to spice up your wedding, the non-traditional mixed in? Perhaps your cake had a bride and groom balancing on top of a Harley, or your dog was the ring bearer, or perhaps the groomsmen wore scuba gear? What made this ceremony a little different from what you would consider traditional in your culture?

The traditions you carried into your wedding. Did you have a cake with figures on top? A white wedding dress, a church, bridesmaids. There are so many traditions that we take for granted in a wedding. Think about what you did that was traditional, perhaps unconsciously, and write it down.

The bride and groom gifts. Truly the most amazing gift that you can give to each other is a lifetime of love. What else did you give each other? Did you give a suitcase for a lifetime of travel, a puppy to start your family, or a family heirloom now that they are family? Why did you choose that gift? When did you present it?

The wedding gifts. Did you receive lots of gifts? There were probably a few that stuck out. What was the funniest, the best, the hands-down worst gifts? What gifts will you cherish forever?

The gifts for the wedding party. What did you get your bridesmaids, and the maid of honor? What did you give to your groomsmen and the best man? How did you come up with the right gift? Was it something to wear at the wedding?

Letters to and from your parents. You can write a thank you letter to your parents, for all that they have done for you over the years. Let them know how special they are to you. If you can, write it on beautiful paper. Ask them to write a letter to you sharing their feelings about your upcoming marriage, or how they felt during the ceremony. Scan these letters into the computer to put on a page, or simply print the page you like and glue the handwritten paper onto it.

Letters to the bride and groom. Here's an idea, write a letter to the groom and have him write one to you about your feelings for each other coming into your special day. If you write a note to each other before your wedding day and a note afterward you can put them together in a page with photos, maybe one from the engagement party and one from the wedding day.

The way we recognized our parents. Did you give the mothers flowers at a certain point in the ceremony, or have them light a family candle? Did you surprise them with something? Did you give them gifts?

The setting for the wedding. The setting we choose was, sunset in San Diego, moonrise in the islands, a tiny church in the mountains? Describe it all in detail.

The ceremony. What made you choose the ceremony you did? Did you go for traditional or quirky? How did people react to it? What part moved you to tears? Was there laughter? did you choose it together?

The wedding toast. Who made the funniest, most sentimental, most embarrassing toast? Were there toasts all night or just a few simple ones?

The photography. Who took the photos? What special shots did you take? Were there a lot of candids? Did you take photos before the ceremony? What shots did you miss, and could you recreate them?

The wedding gown. Really get into telling about the choice of dress, how it made you feel, the way you looked. What comments did you get on it? Did you have it made?

The budget. Were you working from the book Tie the Knot on a Shoestring or did you have no limit to the money you could spend? Where did you need to cut back in order to go over the top in other areas?

The food. Did you even get a chance to eat some of it, or were you too busy? What did you have, a buffet, a sit down dinner, bruch? What foods went over well? What foods were missing? Did you have enough? Was there something that was a stand-out dish?

The wedding party. Who was in your wedding, best friends, relatives? Why did you choose them? How many did you have? What did they wear, and did they like the outfit, dress, tiara, or did they protest your choices? The maid of honor, write about her, what makes her so special to you? The best man, who was he, and what made your husband choose him?

The music. What did you choose for the ceremony? Did you have guitars, singers, organ music? What about the reception? Was there a band, what was their name? What kind of music did they play? Who danced with whom? Who wouldn't leave the dance floor?

The cake. What kind did you have, who made it? Wat color was it? Did you have a different flavor for the grooms cake, or did you even have one? Was it more delicious than pretty? Did you feed cake to each other, and were you nice or naughty with that?

The weather. We had planned on a sunny/warm/snowy day and what we got was...?

The flowers. The main or only flowers were, white roses, pink tulips, daisies or wildflowers in the field you stood in? Did they get delivered ontime, did you change your mind several times or did you know immediately what flowers you wanted? What did you carry, what did the bridesmaids carry, and what did you place on the tables?

The guests. How many guests did you have on your list, how many came? Who traveled the farthest? Did you have any wedding crashers, or unexpected people?

The wedding theme. What kind of theme did you go with, floral, cowboy, fairytale? Did your guests dress a certain way? What was the color scheme?

The invitations. What did they look like, who made them for you? Were they playful or traditional?

The bachelorette and bachelor parties. Who attended? Were they on the same night? How late did you stay out? Who embarrassed themselves the most? What gifts did you get, and who organized it for you?

The rehearsal dinner. Where was it, who was there, how many people, what was the food like? Who made toasts? Were there any surprises?

The rings. Write about the experience of choosing them, or are they heirlooms? Is there an inscription? What made you decide on them?

What about the proposal? Did you have to do it, or did he? Was it romantic, funny, sweet? Did he get down on one knee? Was it expected or a complete surprise? Who was there?

How did you meet? Was it a blind date, did you know each other from school? Did you like each other right away or did you have to grow on each other?

Marrigage advice. It's a great idea to send out an all-call for marriage advice from friends and relatives. Some of the resposes are worth recording. What is the funniest advice, the best advice, the craziest advice?
